BMW opens pre-bookings for X6 M60i xDrive in India
- BMW India has opened pre-bookings for the X6 M60i xDrive, bringing back the coupe-SUV as a CBU model.
BMW India has opened pre-launch bookings for the new X6 M60i xDrive on May 22. The performance-oriented luxury coupe-SUV is ready to return to the Indian market as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU), nearly three years after the nameplate was discontinued in January 2023. Interested buyers can reserve the model through authorised BMW dealerships or register online through BMW India’s website.
BMW X6 M60i xDrive: Engine and performance
The return of the X6 also marks the comeback of BMW’s V8-powered coupe-SUV offering in India. Under the hood is the brand’s ‘S68’ 4.4-litre twin-turbo petrol V8 engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. Combined output stands at 523 bhp and 750 Nm of torque. Power is delivered to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive setup. BMW claims the SUV can accelerate from 0-100kph in 4.3 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited to 250kph. The X6 M60i also features rear-wheel steering, an electronically controlled rear differential and M Sport braking hardware.

BMW X6 M60i xDrive: Design
The latest X6 continues with BMW’s coupe-SUV design approach, combining SUV dimensions with a sloping roofline. Exterior highlights include a gloss-black kidney grille, slim LED headlamps with distinctive daytime-running light signatures and aggressive bumper detailing.
The side profile gets 21-inch alloy wheels, black-finished ORVMs and red brake calipers, while the rear section features wraparound LED tail-lamps and dual exhaust outlets integrated into a gloss-black bumper.
Dimensionally, the SUV measures 4,960mm in length, 2,004mm in width and 1,700mm in height. It rides on a 2,975mm wheelbase and offers 580 litres of luggage capacity.
BMW X6 M60i xDrive: Interior and features
The international-spec X6 M60i comes with BMW’s curved display setup comprising a 14.9-inch infotainment screen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The cabin uses a layered dashboard design with a dual-tone finish. Other equipment includes heated, ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats, driver seat memory function, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control and a powered tailgate.

Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and tyre-pressure monitoring are also part of the package internationally, and similar features are expected on the India-spec model.
BMW X6 M60i xDrive: Pricing and rivals
BMW is yet to announce official pricing, although the X6 M60i is expected to be priced around ₹1.40 crore (ex-showroom). In India, it will compete against the Audi SQ8, Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe and Porsche Cayenne Coupe.
