JSW MG Motor India has introduced the MG Majestor as its new flagship internal combustion engine SUV in the Indian market. Positioned above the MG Gloster in the company’s lineup, the Majestor expands MG’s presence in the full-size SUV segment and strengthens its ICE portfolio alongside models such as the MG Hector, MG Hector Plus and MG Astor.
Bookings for the MG Majestor are currently open with a token amount of ₹41,000 through the brand’s official website. The SUV is positioned as the most premium ICE model in MG’s Indian lineup and targets buyers seeking a large three-row SUV with off-road capability and extensive in-cabin technology.

The MG Majestor adopts a bold and upright SUV design with a strong road presence. The front fascia features a split headlamp setup with Dragon Eye LED daytime running lights and vertically stacked LED headlamps integrated into the bumper. A mosaic-style grille, sculpted bonnet, chunky bumpers and a prominent skid plate contribute to its rugged appearance.
The SUV rides on 19-inch alloy wheels and includes black wheel arch cladding, roof rails and chrome-finished side steps. At the rear, connected LED tail lamps and prominent ‘Morris Garages’ and ‘Majestor’ badging highlight its flagship positioning.
Inside, the Majestor features a three-row cabin available in six- and seven-seat configurations. The interior follows a smoked ebony theme with leather upholstery and multi-mode massage seats offering eight massage patterns. The dashboard integrates a dual-screen layout consisting of a digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment display.
Other interior features include ventilated seats for both the first and second rows, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a panoramic sunroof, a 12-speaker JBL sound system, 64-colour ambient lighting and three-zone automatic climate control. The driver’s seat features 12-way power adjustment with memory function. Additional convenience features include dual wireless chargers, a 220V power outlet and a gesture-controlled tailgate.
Boot capacity stands at 343 litres with all three rows in place and expands to 1,350 litres when the third row is folded. MG has also partnered with Reliance Jio to enhance connected car capabilities. The i-SMART system includes a Bluetooth-enabled digital key and additional functions such as Valet Mode and Quiet Mode.

Powering the MG Majestor is a 2.0-litre twin-turbocharged diesel engine producing 215 bhp and 478 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
The SUV features an adaptive 2H-4H drivetrain system and multiple terrain modes including Normal, Sand, Rock, Mud and Snow. Built on a high-tensile ladder-frame chassis, the Majestor also includes a triple differential lock along with a water-wading capacity of 810 mm, enhancing its off-road capability.

Safety features include six airbags, a 360-degree camera system, hill-hold assist and hill-descent control. The SUV also incorporates a Level 2 ADAS suite with functions such as lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and intelligent headlamp control.

JSW MG Motor India has introduced a comprehensive ownership programme for the Majestor called the 5-5-5 package. This programme includes a five-year unlimited kilometre warranty, five years of roadside assistance and five free labour services as part of the standard purchase price.
The ownership package is designed to offer long-term cost predictability for buyers, particularly those who frequently undertake long-distance travel or off-road journeys.

In the Indian market, the MG Majestor is expected to compete with full-size ladder-frame SUVs such as the Toyota Fortuner and the Skoda Kodiaq in the premium three-row SUV space.
