MG Majestor Launch & Availability
The MG Majestor has been officially unveiled in India, with bookings currently underway. Deliveries are expected to begin following the price announcement.
MG Majestor Design
The Majestor adopts a bold and upright SUV design with a strong road presence. The front features a split headlamp layout with Dragon Eye LED daytime running lights and vertically stacked LED headlamps integrated into the bumper. A mosaic-style grille, sculpted bonnet, chunky bumpers and a prominent skid plate enhance its rugged appeal.
The SUV rides on 19-inch alloy wheels and features black wheel arch cladding, roof rails and chrome-finished side steps. At the rear, connected LED tail lamps and prominent ‘Morris Garages’ and ‘Majestor’ badging underline its flagship positioning. The overall stance is boxy and muscular, in line with traditional full-size ladder-frame SUVs.
MG Majestor Interior & Features
Inside, the Majestor offers a premium three-row cabin available in both six- and seven-seat configurations. The interior follows a smoked ebony theme with leather upholstery and multi-mode massage seats offering eight massage patterns. The dashboard houses a dual-screen setup comprising a digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment display.
The SUV features ventilated seats for both the first and second rows, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, a 12-speaker JBL audio system, 64-colour ambient lighting and three-zone automatic climate control. The driver’s seat gets 12-way power adjustment with memory function. Additional convenience features include dual wireless chargers, a 220V power outlet and a gesture-controlled tailgate. Boot space stands at 343 litres with all three rows in place and expands to 1,350 litres with the third row folded.
MG has also partnered with Reliance Jio to enhance connected car functionality. The i-SMART system includes a Bluetooth-enabled digital key along with new experiential features such as Valet Mode and Quiet Mode, designed to enhance security and in-cabin comfort.
MG Majestor Engine & Performance
Powering the MG Majestor is a 2.0-litre twin-turbocharged diesel engine producing 215 bhp and 478 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels. The SUV features an adaptive 2H-4H system along with multiple terrain modes including Normal, Sand, Rock, Mud and Snow.
Built on a high-tensile ladder-frame chassis, the Majestor also features a triple differential lock — a first in its segment — along with a water-wading capacity of 810 mm. Safety is further enhanced by six airbags, a 360-degree camera, hill-hold and hill-descent control systems, and a Level 2 ADAS suite that includes lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and intelligent headlamp control.
MG Majestor Rivals
In the Indian market, the MG Majestor is expected to compete with full-size ladder-frame SUVs such as the Toyota Fortuner and other premium three-row diesel SUVs in the segment. With its powerful twin-turbo diesel engine, advanced off-road hardware and feature-rich cabin, the Majestor reinforces MG’s presence in the flagship SUV space.
