Audi Q6 e-tron: Overview

The Audi Q6 e-tron is among the latest additions to the German brand’s luxury electric SUV portfolio, globally unveiled in March 2024. Built on the all-new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) co-developed with Porsche, it shares its underpinnings with the Porsche Macan EV. This marks the first time Audi has employed the PPE architecture, which includes an 800-volt electrical system and rear-biased dual electric motors. The Q6 e-tron introduces a new phase of Audi’s electrification strategy and is expected to arrive in the Indian market by late 2025.

Audi Q6 e-tron: Price

The Audi Q6 e-tron price in India is yet to be announced. In international markets, the model is positioned between the Q4 e-tron and Q8 e-tron, suggesting a likely Indian starting price between ₹90 lakh and ₹1 crore (ex-showroom) when launched.

Audi Q6 e-tron: Launch Date

While the Audi Q6 e-tron has already gone on sale globally, its India launch is expected to take place in second half of 2025. Audi has confirmed plans to bring the SUV as a fully imported CBU unit initially, with potential for local assembly later based on demand.

Audi Q6 e-tron: Variants & Colours

Globally, the Audi Q6 e-tron is offered in two variants: the standard Q6 and the sportier SQ6. Both are equipped with dual-motor AWD systems and a common battery pack. Final details on colour options for the India-spec model are awaited, but international markets offer options like Sakhir Gold, Glacier White, Mythos Black, and Daytona Grey.

Audi Q6 e-tron: Battery & Range

The Audi Q6 e-tron and SQ6 variants feature a 100 kWh (94.9 kWh usable) lithium-ion battery pack. The standard Q6 e-tron offers a claimed WLTP range of up to 625 km. Thanks to the PPE’s 800-volt architecture, the SUV supports ultra-fast 270 kW DC charging, enabling a 10 to 80 per cent charge in just 21 minutes. Audi also offers intelligent thermal and battery management systems to optimise longevity and charging performance.

Audi Q6 e-tron: Specs & Features

Performance figures for the Audi Q6 e-tron vary by variant. The standard Q6 produces 382 bhp, which increases to 456 bhp with launch control. It can accelerate from 0–100 kmph in 5.9 seconds, or 5.0 seconds with launch mode. The SQ6 e-tron delivers 483 bhp (510 bhp with launch control) and finishes the 0–100 kmph sprint in 4.2 seconds.

Inside the cabin, the Q6 e-tron features a futuristic tri-screen layout comprising a 14.5-inch curved central infotainment screen, an 11.9-inch driver display, and a 10.9-inch screen for the front passenger. Additional highlights include an optional augmented reality head-up display, AI-powered driver avatar, OTA software updates, ambient lighting, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, premium upholstery, and a high-performance audio system. Audi's new infotainment system is based on the E^3 1.2 electronics architecture, enabling more seamless system integration and responsiveness.

Audi Q6 e-tron: Safety

Audi equips the Q6 e-tron with a full suite of driver assistance and safety systems. These include multiple airbags, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot detection, parking assist, and autonomous emergency braking. Advanced features like adaptive matrix LED headlamps and predictive energy recuperation also contribute to a safer and more efficient drive.

Audi Q6 e-tron: Rivals

Once launched, the Audi Q6 e-tron will be positioned below the Q8 e-tron in the brand’s India lineup. It will compete against luxury electric SUVs such as the Porsche Macan EV, Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV, and the BMW iX.
