Kawasaki KLX 450R 
 
The KLX 450R is Kawasaki’s top-of-the-line dirt-bike. As it has a headlight and instrument cluster, it can be placed in the enduro segment. However, it is not street-legal.

The KLX 450R was first introduced to India in October of 2017. The 2022 model was launched in December 2021. 
 

 Kawasaki KLX 450R Price: 
 
There is only one variant of the KLX 450R and it costs Rs. 8,99,000 ex-showroom in Delhi. 
 

 Kawasaki KLX 450R Design: 
 
Design cues for the KLX 450R is derived from Kawasaki’s successful motocrosser, the KX 450. 
The body components have a minimalistic approach. Unlike other off-roaders of Kawasaki India, this one gets a headlight and an instrument cluster. 
The shroud is comparatively smaller, the front and rear feature enduro mudguards. 
The KLX 450R comes in Lime Green colour with white and black. 
 
 Kawasaki KLX 450R Dimension: 
 
The seat height on this bike is at 935 mm (3 feet) and the ground clearance is 315 mm (1 foot). 
The front USD suspension has a long travel of 305 mm and the rear monoshock suspension has a travel of 315 mm. 
With a total weight of 126 kilograms, this enduro has the power-to-weight advantage. 
 

 Kawasaki KLX 450R Features: 
 
The KLX 450R has an instrument cluster that shows speedometer, odometer, dual trip-meters and a clock. The rear mudguard has an LED taillight. 
This Kawasaki has an electric starter as well as a kick starter. 
Braking is assisted by a single semi-floating 250 mm petal disk with dual piston in the front. A single 240 mm single piston petal disk is given in the rear. 
 

 Kawasaki KLX 450R Engine and Performance: 
 
A powerful 449cc 4-stroke, liquid-cooled engine is fed by a carburettor. 
The mill produces around 56.4 BHP at 8,500 RPM and 50 Nm torque at 7,500 RPM. The engine has a 4-valve configuration and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. 
 

 Kawasaki KLX 450R Mileage: 
 
The Kawasaki KLX 450R returns a mileage of 25 kilometers a litre. 
It gets a fuel tank capacity of 8 litres. 
 

 Kawasaki KLX 450R Rivals: 
 
The Kawasaki KLX 450R competes against Yamaha WR 450F, Husqvarna FE 450, Husqvarna FE 501s, KTM 450 EXC-F, KTM 500 EXC-F, Honda CRF 450RL, Honda CRF 450X and Suzuki DR-Z400S.
