With eye on electric space, Maruti to showcase Concept FUTURO-e at Auto Expo
NEW DELHI : With the momentum in the Indian automotive industry clearly towards electric mobility, the country's largest auto maker Maruti Suzuki was never going to remain a mute spectator. While Maruti does not have an electric offering as yet, the company said on Tuesday that it will showcase its Concept FUTURO-e, a coupe-like electric concept car, at the Auto Expo 2020 which starts from February 7 in Greater Noida.


Conceptualized and designed in India, Maruti says Concept FUTURO-e is a design study for next generation mobility solutions. "Concept FUTURO-e demonstrates a bold new global design language for the popular utility vehicle segment," the company said in a press statement.
CV Raman, Senior Executive Director (Engineering) at Maruti Suzuki, added that Concept FUTURO-e is set to define how future cars of Maruti would look like. "Concept FUTURO-e resonates Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to create exciting designs for next generation," he said. "Offering a sneak peek into future of design,Concept FUTURO-e representsMaruti Suzuki’s vision for the Indian automobile market.Pegged as an Indian car with global sensibilities, Concept FUTURO-e takes into consideration the evolving desires of country’s aspirational youth."
