Audi India is expected to kickstart 2020 with a bang with the all-new Q8 SUV slated for a launch as early as in January itself.

The eagerly-awaited Q8 was previously scheduled for a late 2019 launch but this had to be pushed back by the German auto giant for numerous reasons. The company is now gearing up for a January 15 launch and expects to make quite the bang with the vehicle.

The Q8 will be a five-seater and Audi says it would be a synthesis of a practical car and a large SUV. Space and styling is expected to be the two biggest strengths of the coupe-like Q8 with a 2987 mm wheelbase promising more room to stretch. Sitting on 22-inch wheels, the Q8 gets a massive single-frame grille with chrome additions. This is flanked by sharp LED headlamps on either side. The side profile is highlighted by a sloping roofline and roof-mounted spoiler. The rear view of the Q8 is defined by a spread-out tail lamp that adds a stylish character to the SUV.

On expected lines, Audi has put a number of convenience and comfort features inside the cabin with a black dashboard, 8.6-inch digital display next to the eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, adaptive cruise assist, lane change warning, curb warning, 360-degree cameras and Audi connect data transfer module.

Under the hood, the Q8 is expected to get a 3.0-litre TFSI petrol engine with max power figures of 340 bhp. A diesel motor is unlikely as Audi is pushing towards an all-petrol fleet.
