Value for Money

I'm from a smaller town outside Delhi, and there, the Splendor is not just a bike, it's the king. The roads are bad, the service centers are few, but this bike handles everything. It's built for the real India, not just the big metros.

Chrome on Mirrors Pits Easily

The chrome plating on the back of the rear-view mirrors started pitting and showing black spots within a year. It's a low-quality chrome job that doesn't stand up to the weather conditions in Delhi. Looks bad.

The 'Chalta Hai' Attitude Bike

This bike embodies the 'chalta hai' (it's okay/it works) attitude. The design is okay, the performance is okay, the features are okay. Nothing is great, but everything works. It's the ultimate compromise on two wheels.

Just gets the job done

No thrills, no excitement. But every morning it starts and gets me to work on time and cheaply. It does its job. Can't ask for more, can't expect less. A perfectly average and reliable commuter.

Light Weight is its Superpower

The ultra-light weight of this bike is its superpower in the city. It's so easy to flick around in traffic, to park in tight spots, and to pick up if it falls. This makes it very accessible for riders of all ages and strengths.

The Sound of Reliability

The gentle, familiar hum of the Splendor's engine is the sound of reliability for me. It's not loud or aggressive. It's a calm and reassuring sound that tells you everything is okay and you will reach your destination.

Feels Stressed with a Pillion

With a pillion rider on board, the engine feels noticeably strained. Acceleration becomes very slow, and you need to plan overtakes carefully. It manages the load, but it's not a happy performer with two people.

Helps Me Beat the Office Rush

I travel from Ghaziabad to Delhi for work every day. This bike is my weapon against the morning traffic. Its slim profile lets me filter through jams, saving me at least 45 minutes every day compared to a car.

A Practical, No-Nonsense Ride

This bike has no drama. It starts, it runs, it gives mileage. That's the end of the story. It's a purely practical purchase. If you're looking for an emotional connection with your motorcycle, look elsewhere. This is a tool.

Front Brake Lacks Bite

The front drum brake is very weak. It lacks the initial 'bite' you need for confident braking. Most of the stopping power comes from the rear brake. Hero must provide a disc brake option for the Splendor, it's a matter of safety.
