Jimny has replaced some powerful cars like Alfa Giulia QV or the Lotus Evora S to give an edge to the force while chasing down criminals through narrow roads and uphill drives.
The fleet has been modified according to the need of the Carabinieri. The roof of the off-roaders are custom-fitted with lights by Focaccia group. The cars also wear the Carabinieri uniform colours Arma Blue and White colour as a dual-tone.
The fourth-generation off-roader is powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine.
This engine produces a maximum power of 102 PS (101 bhp - 75 kW) at 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 130 Nm (95 lb.ft) at 4000 rpm. The power is transmitted to the road by the all wheel drive (AWD) with a 5 speed Manual gearbox.
