Maruti Suzuki S-Presso breaks into top-10 selling cars within month of launch
NEW DELHI : Following many of its siblings, the newly-launched S-Presso has found a spot in the top-10 selling passenger vehicles in the country within just a month of being launched.
Maruti Suzuki launched the S-Presso on September 30th and sold 10,634 units of the mini SUV in all of October. What may have worked well for the vehicle is a strong design language, tech additions and safety features at an enticing starting price point of ₹3.69 lakh (ex showroom). "Today, Indian buyers have a clear inclination towards feature-loaded, safe, comfortable and easy to own entry level cars. S-PRESSO has been able to carve out its own niche in the entry segment," said Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India.

The S-Presso comes with a 1.0 L K10 engine and is BS 6-complaint. Its SUV-like stand, tall seating position and a decent pickup have worked well for it while a segment-first steering-mounted audio and video control, and a vibrant graphic user interface, compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and other Smartplay Studio Apps, make it an attractive option for the youth.
Available in four variants, the S-Presso also comes with an Auto Gear Shift (AGS) option. There are six colour hues to choose from.
The S-Presso locks horns with Renault Kwid and Datsun Redi-Go.
