World's 4th largest bus maker to supply 1750 units to Tamil Nadu State Transport

Ashok Leyland, the largest bus manufacturer in India and the fourth largest globally has bagged an order to supply 1,750 units to Tamil Nadu State Transport Undertakings.
Making the announcement of the order on Wednesday morning, Ashok Leyland stated that this would reaffirm its position of strength in the transport bus segment in the country. "“We are very happy to receive the confirmation of this order from TN STU. Our ability to bring value, combined with our superior technology and innovation will help us maintain our leadership position in buses in India," said Anuj Kathuria, COO, Ashok Leyland.

Sanjay Saraswat, President - MHCV, Ashok Leyland, added that the company has managed to bag orders from several state transport undertakings in recent times. "With this order, our orderbook for State Transport Undertakings has enhanced significantly. This is a testament to the reliability, durability and robustness of our buses. The cost of ownership and the product experience which we can deliver is the best in the industry," he said.
