Steelbird Fairy Helmet launched for women riders this Raksha Bandhan

Steelbird has launched its new Fairy Helmet in India ahead of Raksha Bandhan, positioning it as a helmet designed specifically for women riders. Priced from ₹1,299, the new helmet combines safety-focused hardware with a more colourful and playful design.

The Fairy Helmet is aimed at women who ride regularly, whether for daily commuting, running errands or leisure rides. Steelbird says the product has been developed to offer a more personalised alternative to conventional helmet designs while retaining the safety and convenience features required for everyday riding.

The helmet gets a high-impact ABS shell along with high-density EPS intended to provide impact protection. It also carries BIS ISI certification, making safety a key part of its design. There is no ECE or DOT rating, which is quite obvious at this price point.

For everyday usability, the Fairy Helmet comes with a polycarbonate anti-scratch visor. It also gets a top vent to improve airflow and breathability, while a micrometric buckle is used for easier fastening and a secure fit.

Design is one of the key highlights of the new helmet. Steelbird is offering the Fairy Helmet with multiple colourful decal options, allowing buyers to choose a design according to their personal preference. The helmet is available in Small (560 mm), Medium (570 mm) and Large (580 mm) sizes.

According to Steelbird, the Fairy Helmet is intended to appeal to women who want protective riding gear that also reflects their personal style. The company has introduced the helmet as part of its Raksha Bandhan campaign, linking the occasion's themes of care and protection with everyday road safety.

Commenting on the launch, Rajeev Kapur, Managing Director, Steelbird, said that the company wanted to create a helmet that combines safety with colour, comfort and personal expression.

The Steelbird Fairy Helmet is priced from ₹1,299, making it one of the company's more accessible offerings aimed at women riders.
