Nissan Patrol: Overview

The Nissan Patrol is a full-size body-on-frame SUV with a legacy that spans over seven decades. The latest, seventh-generation model brings significant upgrades in capability, refinement, and technology while retaining its rugged appeal. Designed for those seeking a blend of comfort and off-road readiness, the Patrol offers a spacious three-row layout, advanced terrain management systems, and a powerful petrol engine lineup. It serves as Nissan’s global flagship SUV and continues to be positioned as an alternative to other large luxury SUVs.

Nissan Patrol: Price

While the new Nissan Patrol has been launched globally, there is no official confirmation regarding its launch timeline for the Indian market. If introduced, it is expected to be priced upwards of ₹2.0 crore (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and equipment.

Nissan Patrol: Launch Date

The seventh-generation Nissan Patrol is already on sale in global markets. Its India launch is under consideration but has not yet been officially confirmed by the company.

Nissan Patrol: Specs & Features

Globally, the Patrol is offered with two petrol engine options. The 3.8-litre naturally aspirated V6 produces 316 bhp and 386 Nm of torque, while the new 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 develops 425 bhp and 700 Nm. Both engines are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and feature multiple terrain modes—Rock, Sand, Mud, Eco, Standard, and Sport. Adaptive air suspension is standard, allowing for enhanced comfort, ground clearance, and off-road performance.

Other highlights include a 28.6-inch digital display setup, a head-up display, piano-style electronic gear selector, biometric cooling system with infrared sensors, wireless smartphone integration, and a 12-speaker Klipsch audio system. The Patrol also offers class-leading cargo space of up to 2,680 litres with all seats folded flat.

Nissan Patrol: Safety

The new Patrol comes equipped with Nissan's latest ProPILOT driver assistance system, which provides semi-autonomous driving capabilities. Additional safety features include rear automatic emergency braking, predictive forward collision warning, 360-degree surround-view camera with transparent bonnet view, multiple airbags, and advanced traction and stability systems.

Nissan Patrol: Rivals

If launched in India, the Nissan Patrol will compete with premium full-size SUVs such as the Toyota Land Cruiser 300, Lexus LX 500d, and the Mercedes-Benz GLS.
