My Detailed 1-Year Review (iQube S)

I have been using the TVS iQube S for over a year now, covering almost 10,000 km. Here's my honest breakdown. Performance: The hub motor is silent and provides instant torque, making city overtakes a breeze. Power mode is genuinely thrilling, but it eats the battery. Eco mode is what I use 90% of the time, and it's adequate for city traffic up to 50 km/h. Range: This is the big one. The company says 100 km, but realistically, I get 82-88 km in Eco mode with careful riding. With a pillion, it drops to around 75 km. It's enough for my 60 km daily round trip, but I have to be mindful. Comfort & Handling: Excellent! The telescopic suspension at the front and dual shocks at the rear absorb bumps very well. The seat is wide and plush. It's very stable at speeds. Features: The TFT screen is bright and shows all necessary info. The SmartXonnect app is useful for ride stats and geofencing, but navigation can be laggy sometimes. The USB charger is a lifesaver. Cost of Ownership: My electricity bill has gone up by only ₹300-₹400 per month. First few services were free, and paid service cost me around ₹800. It's incredibly cheap to run. Problems: I faced a software issue where the range would drop suddenly, but a software update at the service center fixed it. The rear brake could be stronger. Verdict: It's a fantastic city scooter. If your daily run is under 70-80 km, you can buy it without a second thought. It's not for highway touring, but for everything else, it's a near-perfect, economical, and comfortable machine.
