The design is very modern yet keeps the Duster character. The LED light bars look fantastic. Best looking SUV on the road today.
The OpenR link is so smooth. The 10.25 inch driver display is very crisp. It feels like driving a premium luxury car. Amazing!
The ground clearance and suspension are made for Indian roads. It looks rugged and behaves ruggedly. No other car comes close.
The DCT is very smart. No head-nod effect. Perfect for city bumper-to-bumper traffic. Fuel efficiency is also surprisingly good.
At 10.49L starting, it’s a steal. Even the mid variants are very well equipped. Renault is going to disrupt the market again.
That 1.3 Turbo engine is a beast. High speed stability is rock solid. The best handling SUV in the sub-20 lakh segment without doubt.
Knowing it’s built for 5-star safety gives me peace of mind. The build quality is very reassuring. 6 airbags as standard is great.
The all-black interior makes the cabin feel smaller than it is. Wish they had a lighter beige or tan option for a more airy feel inside.
Duster is back with a bang. The driving dynamics are unbeatable. It feels like a proper SUV, not just a raised hatchback. Love it!
Everything from ADAS to ventilated seats works perfectly. Renault has checked all boxes. The panoramic sunroof is the best part!
When you put the blower on max, it is very noisy. Rear AC vents are also a bit weak compared to the front ones. Takes time to cool.
The manual 6-speed feels a bit rubbery. Sometimes it’s hard to slot into first gear at signals. Not the smoothest transmission in class.
Why no 4x4 at launch? Duster was famous for it. FWD is okay for city but the legend deserves an all-wheel drive system for real adventure.
The front parking sensors sometimes beep without any obstacle in rain. ADAS also gives false warnings occasionally. Needs better calibration.
Renault claims 212mm but with full load of 5 people and luggage, it feels much lower. I hit a big bump and it touched the bottom. Be careful.
Some plastics on the door pads and lower console feel hard and scratchy. Competitors like Seltos offer a more premium cabin feel inside.
The Authentic trim feels very bare bones. No music system at 10.5 lakhs is a bit much. You have to spend at least on Evolution for basic needs.
I miss the K9K diesel engine's fuel efficiency. The petrol is powerful but high runners will find the fuel bills a bit heavy every month.
Previous Renault experience was okay but parts were expensive. Hope this new Duster is easier to maintain. First service was smooth though.
Sometimes the wireless carplay takes 2-3 attempts to connect. Software needs a bit more polish. But once it works, the UI is very clean.
Booked the Turbo DCT and the dealer says 3 months wait. Renault should increase production. Demand is high but supply seems limited currently.
The car is wide but seating three adults at the back for long trips is a bit tight. Best for two adults and a child. Middle tunnel is also there.
The Iconic variant is touching 18.5 lakhs ex-showroom. At this price, more soft touch materials on the lower dashboard would have been nice.
The 1.3 Turbo gives me 10kmpl in heavy city traffic. You need to be very gentle to get more. But on highway, it easily touches 15-16kmpl.
It absorbs everything. From speed bumps to small stones, you feel nothing inside. Renault's suspension tuning is still the gold standard in India.

Electronics failing
Comfort is great but fuel efficiency is a nightmare. I am barely getting 7 kmpl in the city with AC. Also the software is very slow to boot up. Sometimes I have to wait for 30 seconds just to use the reverse camera.Read more
