The KTM 160 Duke marks the brand’s new entry point into its street naked motorcycle lineup in India, launched at ₹1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned below the KTM 200 Duke, it becomes the most affordable offering from the Austrian manufacturer in the country, aimed at riders seeking a premium yet accessible performance bike. The 160 Duke retains KTM’s signature aggressive styling and sporty riding dynamics, and is designed to rival models like the Yamaha MT-15 V2 in the highly competitive sub-200 cc naked segment. It also signals KTM’s renewed push in the entry-level performance market, following the discontinuation of the 125 Duke earlier in 2025.

The KTM 160 Duke price starts at ₹1.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it the most affordable motorcycle in KTM India’s portfolio. It comes with a standard 10-year warranty, underscoring the brand’s focus on long-term ownership value. Multiple finance schemes are expected to be available through dealerships. Customer deliveries are scheduled to commence from August 12, 2025.

KTM 160 Duke: Launch Date

The KTM 160 Duke was officially launched in India in August 2025. It joins KTM’s existing street naked lineup that includes the 1390 Super Duke R, 890 Duke R, 390 Duke, 250 Duke, and 200 Duke. The introduction of the 160 Duke also precedes the launch of the RC 160, which will be KTM’s most affordable fully-faired offering in India.

The KTM 160 Duke is offered in two colour schemes that reflect the brand’s racing DNA. The first is KTM’s signature Orange and Black theme with bold graphics and contrasting accents. The KTM 160 Duke carries forward the brand’s signature naked streetfighter design language, blending race-inspired aerodynamics with an aggressive stance. The front end features KTM’s signature LED headlamp with a bifurcated design, flanked by angular tank shrouds that enhance airflow and rider ergonomics. A muscular fuel tank, minimalist tail section, and LED tail lamp complete the sharp profile.

The bike is equipped with a 5.0-inch LCD instrument cluster offering smartphone connectivity via KTM’s interface. It supports turn-by-turn navigation, call and message alerts, and music control, adding modern-day practicality to its sporty persona. The ergonomics are set for an aggressive yet comfortable riding posture, offering agile handling in city traffic and stability at highway speeds.

Power comes from a 160 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine derived from the KTM 200 Duke’s platform. It produces 18.74 bhp and 15.5 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth-shifting gearbox designed for both responsive acceleration and efficient cruising. KTM claims it is the most powerful 160 cc motorcycle currently available in India. The same engine and chassis platform will also underpin the upcoming RC 160.

The chassis features a steel trellis frame, ensuring rigidity and precise handling. Suspension duties are managed by WP Apex USD front forks with 138 mm travel and a WP monoshock at the rear with 161 mm travel, tuned for a blend of comfort and performance. Braking is handled by a 320 mm front disc and a 230 mm rear disc, ensuring strong stopping power and confidence-inspiring control.
