How is Porsche Cayenne Coupe different from regular Cayenne
Porsche is folding up its sleeves to end 2019 on a grand note in India by bringing in the Cayenne Coupe here on Friday (December 13). The Cayenne Coupe has a number of factors that give it a character of its own and enough muscle to make it a strong option to choose from for those looking at this segment which also has the X6 from BMW and Mercedes' GLE.
But how is the Cayenne Coupe different from the Cayenne classic and which should someone go for if a Porsche is the final choice?
For starters, the Cayenne Coupe will surely be a more powerful version of Cayenne Classic. Expect a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 motor under the hood which would hurl the car from zero to 60 mph (96 kmph) in 5.7 seconds. While it is not yet known if Porsche would also bring in the top-spec Cayenne Turbo Coupe, there can be even more power if it does. The Cayenne Turbo Coupe has a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 heart that has peak power figures of 541 hp as against 335 on the Cayenne Coupe.

Visually, there are stark differences with the Cayenne Coupe getting a much more sloping roofline, smaller windshield and a wider rear profile. The international version also gets a glass roof and an optional carbon fibre roof can be chosen too. The Cayenne Coupe also gets two rear spoilers as against the one on the Cayenne classic.
The backseats of the Cayenne Coupe are tuned to give a sporty feel to occupants and is good for two. It is expected that there could be an option to bring in the regular seats of the Cayenne classic to the Coupe.
Additionally, the Cayenne Coupe has lesser boot space than the classic but for someone looking for the thrill of sheer power, luggage is unlikely to be of prime concern anyway.
Porsche is also, quite surely, expected to price Cayenne Coupe above the classic Cayenne. Although the company has not hinted at the price tag, the Cayenne Coupe could be taken home at between a range of ₹1.50 crore and ₹2 crore.
