Porsche gears up to launch Cayenne Coupe in India on December 13

NEW DELHI : Porsche will officially launch the Cayenne Coupe in India on Friday and is promising unmatched performance, much on the lines of all its offerings the world over.

The Cayenne Coupe is a bit shorter than the regular Cayenne and will be powered by two engine options - a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 and a V8 4.0-litre twin turbo. The max power and torque figures on the V8 stands at 542 bhp and an enormous 770 Nm. The car reportedly goes from 0 to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds.

The SUV does retain some of the inherent design elements of the regular Cayenne but also manages to create a niche for itself courtesy a more stooping frontscreen and A-pillars, a sloping rear roofline and a redesigned rear door, bumper and fenders. In terms of dimensions, it stands a little wider than the Cayenne. It is expected that the Sport Chrono package may come as standard.

Porsche is expected to price Cayenne Coupe between ₹1.50 crore and ₹2 crore and the car will face off against BMW X6.
