The glossy black paint theme of the car applied to the door mirror caps, front grille and its surroundings, side window surroundings and rear badges increase the visual appeal. Inside the cabin, it gets ebony leather sports seats and glossy black trim with the ebony headliner.

Mechanically, the car remains the same as the standard I-Pace. It gets a 90 kWh battery pack combined with electric motors generating 394 hp of power and 696 Nm of torque output. The car is capable of accelerating from 0-100 kmph in just 4.8 seconds.

Commenting on the commencement of bookings, Rohit Suri, President and Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India, said that the Black edition has increased the appeal of the I-Pace further. “The I-Pace Black enhances the appeal of this multi-award-winning battery-electric vehicle, making it even more distinctive and desirable."

The I-Pace comes as the first-ever all-electric mass car from the Tata Motors-owned British OEM. This is also the first step for the brand towards its target of becoming an all-electric car brand by 2025.
