Alexa, find my supercar: Lamborghini Huracan EVO gets Amazon's virtual assistant
In a bid to further enhance the already riveting drive experience of a Huracan EVO, Automobili Lamborghini has announced that the 2020 range of the supercar will incorporate Alexa, Amazon's virtual assistant.
The 2020 range of Huracan EVO will let drivers control several key in-car functions such as climate, interior lighting and seat heating with a simple voice command which would not only enhance convenience but also aid in improving safety. With this, Lamborghini becomes the first car manufacturer to deliver in-car control via Amazon Alexa. The company also claims that Alexa will even be integrated into the LDVI dynamic set-up (Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata) on the four-wheel drive EVO. This would allow a driver and/or passengers to use functionalities like place calls, get directions, play music and audiobooks, check news and weather.

Additionally, the integration of Alexa with the Huracan EVO will help owners connect to a growing number of connected devices that work with Alexa. What this means is that while sitting inside the car and when on the move, occupants can control features such as thermostats, lights, gates and everything else that makes use of Alexa at residential spaces. “The Huracan EVO is an outstanding driver’s car, and connectivity enables our customers to focus on the driving, thus enhancing their Lamborghini experience," said Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini. "Lamborghini is a future shaper, and this is the first time an automaker will deliver in-cabin car control through Amazon Alexa to bring together car controls as well as smart commands and Alexa’s standard capabilities."
The V10 Huracan EVO Coupe and Spyder, launched in 2019, is Lamborghini’s latest generation of the four-wheel drive super sports car model. With a new design for improved aerodynamics it is the first Lamborghini with predictive logic on vehicle dynamics control and features a fully-integrated Lamborghini Vehicle Dynamics Control System.
A rear-wheel drive (RWD) Huracan EVO Coupé was announced in January 2020.
The Alexa option will be available during the course of 2020 on the whole Huracan EVO family, including RWD.
