Maruti Suzuki Jimny Overview 
 
Maruti Suzuki Jimny is a five-door SUV model from the country’s largest carmaker. India is the first market anywhere in the world to get the five-door version of Jimny although the vehicle has been in production for foreign markets since 1970s.
 
Maruti Suzuki Jimny is brought to the Indian car market as a direct rival to the Mahindra Thar and while it has a small footprint, it also boasts of a larger wheelbase which means more cabin space for rear-seat passengers. The SUV is essentially a four-seat model meant for rugged driving and claims to have good off-road skills.
 
 Engine 
Powering the Maruti Suzuki Jimny is a 1.5-litre petrol motor that is mated to a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual gearbox. The engine puts out 105 hp and offers 134 Nm of torque. The Jimny is equipped with AllGrip Pro 4WD system and also has a low-range gearbox with ‘2WD-high’, ‘4WD-high’ and ‘4WD-low’. 
 

 Features 
In terms of features, the cabin gets a nine-inch infotainment screen, automatic climate control, semi-digital driver display and dial knobs to control air-conditioning.
