"The focus will be on 125cc scooter segment. From January 2020 onwards we will start production of the models," Ravinder Singh, Senior vice President, Strategy and Planning, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd said.

Singh also said Yamaha will exit the 110cc scooter market.

The new Fascino 125cc scooters comes with 'Stop and Start' system that prevents engine idling when the vehicle is not in motion and would start with a single throttle twist.

According to Singh, the company has invested about 14 crore to roll out BS-6 compliant two wheelers.
