Malo Le Masson, Head of Global Product Planning, Hero MotoCorp, states that HeroConnect becomes an additional reason to choose from a range of bikes from the manufacturer. "“Following the XPulse 200, the first motorcycle to offer connectivity through mobile phone to riders, Hero Connect offers the next level of connectivity," he said. "With this new cloud-enabled service we aim to enhance the riding experience of our customers, at the same time making their overall experience safer and smarter."

HeroConnect makes use of telematics hardware with a built-in SIM that is fitted securely in the bike. Cellular network is used for communication between the device and the app on the rider's phone. The data will make use of cloud storage and will be relayed to the mobile.
