The move to make all its cars here compliant with BS 6 norms before the April 1 deadline would come as a shot in the arm for Volvo.
Volvo Car India on Monday announced that all its cars in the country are now compliant with BS 6 emission norms. This includes products manufactured in India as well as those imported.
In India, Volvo's product lineup includes XC40, XC60 and XC90 SUVs, V90 cross country sedan and the S90 sedan. The company has dealerships in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi NCR – South Delhi, West Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Pune, Raipur, Surat, Vishakhapatnam and Vijayawada.
The move to make all its cars here compliant with BS 6 norms before the April 1 deadline would come as a shot in the arm for Volvo. “The transition from BS 4 to BS 6 has been challenging, especially keeping in mind the industry’s performance in 2019," said Charles Frump, MD, Volvo Car India. "As a gesture to our customers owning an environment friendly BS 6 Volvo Car this financial year, we do not have any price increase for our BS 6 certified cars till 31 st March 2020."
