Hero Electric Flash e-scooter gets a hefty price cut

Hero Electric on Monday announced a limited-time discount of ₹7,800 on its electric scooter Flash which now starts at ₹29,990 across the country barring north-east regions where the range will now start at ₹32,710.

Targeting young buyers, Hero Electric has positioned Flash as a viable alternative to scooters making use of conventional fuel. The prices mentioned above are for the range which makes use of lead acid and the company promises kerb weight of 69 kilos which makes it easy to ride, maneuver and balance. The scooter also gets LED head lights, mobile charging and regenerative braking, among other features.

Hero Electric is looking to up its game and faces stiff competition from rivals like Bajaj which recently launched the electric version of Chetak and Ather which is gearing up to bring in Ather 450X.

Hero Electric is aiming at a robust sales and post-sales network and says it has 615 touchpoints across the country.
