This model was Vespa’s flagship model in India when the company had started off. The Vespa LX 125 is the scooter that gave Indian scooter fans the real taste of Italian design.

The Vespa LX 125 was introduced to India in the year 2012. It has been discontinued after it was replaced by the ZX and SXL models.

The LX 125 was priced at Rs. 1.10 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi before it was discontinued.
Vespa LX 125 Design:
The design of the LX 125 was unique to the Indian market when it was launched. The retro-styling with a modern touch had won hearts in India. Earlier models of the LX 125 had a round cut-out on the apron to house the horn. The newer versions had the arrow-head-shaped cut-out. The round headlight present on this model was similar to the SXL and ZX versions. This scooter was available in Yellow, Orange, Red, Black and Azzurro Provenza (bright light blue) colours.
Vespa LX 125 Dimension:
The upright riding posture on this scooter gave the rider a comfortable ride. The LX 125 was also able to handle well in adverse traffic conditions. The suspension setup on this scooter also gave the rider a comfortable ride even in bad roads.
Vespa LX 125 Features:
Earlier versions of this scooter did not get a disk brake on the front end. The BS6 version however, was equipped with a front disk brake. The instrument cluster was semi-digital like all the Vespas available these days.

The Vespa LX 125 made 9.92 PS power at 7,500 RPM and 9.60 Nm torque at 5,500 RPM. The scooter was driven by a 124.45cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that had a 3 valve configuration. The automatic transmission given to the scooter was a CVT gearbox.

Popular claims among owners of the Vespa LX 125 stated that the scooter gave them a mileage between 45 to 55 kilometers a litre based on riding conditions. The scooter had a 7.4 litre fuel tank capacity.
