Actor Shah Rukh Khan came to the Auto Expo 2020 on Thursday to launch the new Creta here from Hyundai. Creta 2020 is an upgrade to Hyundai's most popular SUV in the country.
Widely adored for his acting skills and charismatic personality, Shah Rukh Khan was at his alluring best on stage here. “It’s a big honour to be with my Hyundai family," he said. “Two things happened in the last 22 years - I had a son and became the brand ambassador of Hyundai India. So I am like the father of Hyundai in India," he added.

Shah Rukh said that he owns the first-generation Creta and that it has been a good experience driving it so far. "While I don’t have expertise in the technical aspects of the car, my job has been to feel proud as the company been working on technology, design and all. I myself own a first-generation Creta and love to drive it. My kids love to be in it."
The Bollywood actor said that it is important for any car company to connect with customers and this is primarily where Hyundai has succeeded since coming to Indian shores. “The main thing to happen in 22 years is that Indians have trusted Hyundai brand," he said.
The 'King of Romance' also heaped praise on the new-generation Creta. "The new Creta is extremely robust and really sexy, just like me," he said on a lighter note.
Hyundai launched the eagerly-awaited new Creta to a lot of fanfare. The car gets several styling upgrades. Based on the Seltos platform, Creta 2020 gets new head lights with sleek boomerang LEDs on top. The cascading front grille, seen on several newer Hyundai cars, replaces the three-slat grille on the Creta. The matching tail lights look stunning and there is now a light bar running across the width.
A whole new list of features have also been added on the inside and comes with BS 6-compliant 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines, as well as a 1.4-litre turbo petrol option.
