2022 Honda Gold Wing Tour launched at ₹39.20 lakh, gets airbags, DCT gearbox

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India on Tuesday announced the launch of the new 2022 Gold Wing Tour motorcycle at ₹39.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company has also initiated bookings on the new bike starting today, while the deliveries are set to begin in the new few weeks.

The 2022 Honda Gold Wing comes with full LED lighting including dual LED fog lamps with polished optical lenses on both sides. The low contrast colours and dark tones in the dials add visual appeal to the premium motorcycle. It also gets a premium touch on the instrument cluster. The seven-inch full-colour TFT display gets Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth connectivity and it provides all the information to the rider with just a flick of a button. The screen also offers eight brightness levels with automatic adjustment.

Other features on offer include Smart Key, cruise control, a 21-litre capacity fuel tank, etc. Honda claims that the new Gold Wing comes prioritizing the rider comfort, heat management and air management. The seats come covered in synthetic leather.

The new Gold Wing comes out as an updated and improved version of the previous model and is retailed as a flagship bike from Honda's premium network. Speaking about the new Gold Wing, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director – Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said that over the years, Gold Wing has strengthened its reputation as a technological flagship from Honda. "Raising the level of touring experience by several notches, we turn a new chapter in redefining luxury on two-wheels with the 2022 Gold Wing Tour DCT model with Airbag in India," he said.

The new Gold Wing gets power from a 1,833 cc liquid-cooled four-stroke 24 valve SOHC flat-six engine that churns out 126 bhp of power at 5,500 rpm and 170 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. It is paired with a dual-clutch transmission. The rider can choose from four different riding modes - Tour, Sport, Econ and Rain. The motorcycle comes with a host of technologies such as an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG), and Hill Start Assist.
