Midual Type 1 luxury motorcycle to debut at Pebble Beach

After more than a decade of absence, the French manufacturer Midual is preparing to make a comeback at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance next month with the presentation of a new high-end motorcycle. Details of the Midual Type 1 are mainly under wraps, but we know that the model will include luxurious details such as an instrument panel finished with hand-polished and lacquered soft Australian oak, and knee grips covered in rare saddle-stitched leather.
Founded in 1992, the French brand Midual has always positioned itself as a manufacturer of ultra high-end motorcycles. The brand's first prototype, the Midual Roadster 900, was presented at the Paris Motorcycle Show in 1999 but never made it to the production stage.

Midual's announcement echoes the recent, high-profile comeback of another French motorcycle maker: Voxan. At the 2013 Paris Motorcycle Show, the brand returned to the scene with the debut of the Wattman, touted as the world's most powerful all-electric motorcycle.
On its official website, Midual is teasing the Type 1 by revealing only a handful of photos and details in a slideshow: midual.com. Motorcycle fans will have to wait until August 17 to find out more.
