New Audi A3 2021: All you need to know before global debut

Audi is all set to launch the new A3 sportback. The world premiere of the new sporty hatchback will take place at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Here is all we know about the car so far ahead of its launch.

Equipped with a new 4-speed quattro AWD, the new A3 Sportback will have improved stability, traction and driving aesthetics.

The clutch of the new Quattro AWD 4-wheel drive system is installed near the drive shaft and in front of the rear gear.Resulting in better weight distributionthe electronic torque distribution control system has also been customized to suit the new A3 model.

Under normal driving conditionsalmost all the torque is transmitted to the front wheels.But if the front wheel loses control, almost 100% of the torque will be transmitted to the rear wheels instead, making the A3 become a full-wheel drive vehicle.

The torque control system for each wheel works with Electronic Stabilization Control (ESC) when the car turns into a bend at high speed.The inner wheels of the curve will be braked automatically, helping the car to follow the curve more efficiently and reduce rear end, brushing or oversteer. When the new Audi A3 drives through a curve at high speed, the program applies the brakes slightly to the two wheels on the inside of the curve. The difference in drive forces on both axles turns the car into the bend, allowing it to follow the steering angle precisely. This makes the handling even more agile, fluid, and safe.

The driver can choose different ESC operating modes, either ESC On mode or fully working Sport mode, Moderate control mode and ESC Off mode, or turning off the function that will cause the wheels to slip without limits.

New Audi A3 Sportback will be officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland in early March.
