Renault Duster to get 4x4 upgrade

After tasting success with its maiden compact SUV Duster in India, French car maker Renault is planning to launch the four wheel drive version of the vehicle before the start of the festive season this year.
Currently, Duster is available only in front wheel drive versions that curtail the off roading capabilities of the car but the company is already making 4x4 versions at its Oragadam factory near Chennai and exporting to other right hand drive markets like Britain. The 4x4 version be priced between ₹ 10 lakh to ₹ 14 lakh but Renault believes there would be enough takers for that version and Duster will gain from lack of options in that category.
