New Kia minivan to premiere in New York

The South Korean manufacturer is teasing its new and improved Sedona minivan, which will be unveiled at the New York Auto Show later this month. Sporty and family friendly, the model will be able to haul up to eight passengers along with their luggage.

Kia has yet to provide additional details on this third iteration of the Sedona (which is known as the Carnival in certain markets). The first image of the minivan suggests a sleeker, more dynamic design.

The minivan market is still thriving in the US, where the Honda Odyssey is among the Sedona's top competitors. In Europe, on the other hand, the popularity of minivans continues to decline.
