Toyota is recalling 119 units of the Camry sedan in India. The cars are being called in to resolve a defect in the front suspension. All the recalled Camrys have been manufactured in Japan between March and July 2011.

The recall in India is a part of a large-scale global recall being conducted by parent company, Toyota Motor Corp. Around 3,62,000 Toyota cars are being recalled globally; the Camry makes up for about 1,70,000 of those.

Although no complaints have been received in India yet, Toyota dealerships will contact the customers, and the repair work, if necessary, will be carried out free of cost. Also, considering the manufacturing period of the affected cars, it is the previous-gen Camry that's affected and not the current model.

The current Camry was launched in India in 2012, and this was followed by the Camry Hybrid in 2013.
