Mercedes-Benz launches GL 63 AMG luxury SUV at₹1.66 cr

Luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz on Tuesday launched the GL 63 AMG sports utility vehicle (SUV) in India priced at ₹ 1.66 crore (ex-showroom Mumbai).

This is the fourth model launched by the German car maker in India in 2014, after the new generation S-Class, which was launched in January, followed by the C-Class grand edition and the ML500 Guard edition.

"The GL 63 AMG is the most powerful SUV that is available now in India. This niche market of high-end and high-performance cars is growing and we think this product is a very competitive offering to the market," said Eberhard Kern, MD and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India.
