Ahead of NAIAS in Detroit, Jaguar has confirmed the 2016 launch its first crossover, the F-Pace, based on the XC-17 concept presented in Frankfurt in 2013.

'The Jaguar F-PACE, inspired by the F-TYPE, represents a perfectly judged balance of performance, style and practicality,' said Jaguar design director Ian Callum in a release, adding that the new crossover will be the car maker's version of a 'family sports car.'
