Volvo Auto India today launched the all-new version of its luxury hatchback V40 priced upto 27.7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The car will be available in two variants -- V40 Kinetic priced at 24.75 lakh and V40 R-Design tagged at 27.7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)-- the company said in a statement.

Commenting on the launch, Volvo Auto India Managing Director Tom von Bonsdorff said: 'V40 represents a model which is premium in design, features, technology and safety redefining the compact luxury offering in the segment. The car will bring in new impetus to our growth strategy in India.'

The Swedish luxury car maker said it has added several new high-tech features, safety and support systems from its larger models that makes the product 'ahead of competition when it comes to intelligent accident prevention and mitigation'.

Volvo Auto India sells five luxury models -- S80, S60, XC60, V40 Cross Country and Volvo XC90 -- in the domestic market through its dealerships in Delhi, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Surat, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Kochi, Vishakhapatnam and Pune.
