Toyota to take on Elantra, Octavia with new Altis starting at Rs. 12 lakh


Japanese auto major Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Tuesday launched an all new version of its premium sedan Corolla Altis priced between ₹ 11.99 lakh and ₹ 16.89 lakh (exshowroom Delhi).
Corolla is the largest selling sedan in the world since 1997 and 88,500 units have been sold in India since its launch in 2003.
Now in its 11th generation, Corolla Altis will be available in five grades in petrol, priced ₹ 11.99 -16.89 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and four grades in diesel, priced ₹ 13.07-16.68 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). "It is world's No. 1 car with more than 40 million cars sold across the globe... We are glad to launch this car in India," said Naomi Ishii, managing director, TKM.
