Tesla Model S scores 5 out of 5 in Euro NCAP crash tests
The star of the Tesla stand at the recent Paris Motor Show, the Model S aced the Euro NCAP crash tests to earn a five-star safety rating.
The electric sedan fared particularly well in terms of adult occupant safety (82%) and child occupant safety (77%), while also achieving high scores for its safety assistance technologies (71%) and pedestrian safety (66%).

Among its safety features are front and side airbags, built-in child safety systems, electronic stability control, speed limit warnings and lane departure warnings.
The Tesla Model S is a high-end all-electric car with up to 416hp, enabling 0 to 100km/h acceleration in just 4.4 seconds, all without CO2 emissions.
Few cars have achieved the maximum five-star rating in the Euro NCAP tests. The Model S joins an elite club that includes the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, the Skoda Fabia and the Nissan Pulsar. On the other hand, the Renault Mégane Hatch received only four stars, while the Suzuki Celerio earned just three.
