Mercedes-Benz launches S 350 CDI

Mercedes-Benz has launched the diesel version of the new S-class in India at ₹ 1.07 crore (ex-showroom, Pune). The Mercedes-Benz S 350 CDI is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine good for 255bhp and 63.22kgm of torque. This, in combination with the seven-speed automatic gearbox, gets the car to 100kph from rest in a claimed 6.8 seconds. Like the S 500 petrol version, the S 350 CDI, including the bodywork for the first time, will be assembled at Mercedes' Chakan plant.
