Kawasaki launches Versys 1000 in India

Kawasaki Motors has launched the Versys 1000 its adventure touring bike that is priced at ₹ 12,90,000 (ex-showroom, Pune).

The Versys 1000 was recently updated and gets horizontal headlights with an air vent tucked away between them. Kawasaki's adventure touring bike will compete against Suzuki's recently launched V-Strom.

The Versys 1000 gets powered by a 1043cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, in-line four cylinder and fuel-injected engine. It has a DOHC and four-valve per cylinder head and makes a maximum torque of 10.4kgm at 7,500rpm. There are fat USD forks up front and a long travel monoshock suspension at rear which gives the motorcycle a high ground clearance. It gets ABS equipped twin petal disc brakes in front and a single disc brake at the rear.
