In pics: BMW CEO Krueger faints on stage at Frankfurt auto show
While it was expected to be all about cars, the first headlines from the Frankfurt International Motor Show came from the German auto giant BMW when its new chief executive officer, Harald Krueger, fainted on stage on Tuesday.
According to a Reuters witness, Krueger collapsed as he was commenting on BMW's latest models during a news conference. Two men rushed to the centre stage and escorted him off stage. Krueger was able to walk.
Later on, a BMW spokesperson said, 'I'm a bit lost for words. BMW will try to redo the press conference at a later stage.'
