Auto Expo Day 2 highlights: 14th edition of show inaugurated; New Maruti Suzuki Swift launched

The 14th edition of Auto Expo 2018 was inaugurated by Minister of heavy industries and public enterprises Anant S Geete at Greater Noida's India Expo Mart on Thursday. The Auto Expo 2018, which will be open till 14 February, kicked off with the showcasing of Maruti Suzuki's Concept Future S, Honda's new Amaze and Hyundai's Elite i20 on Wednesday. On Thursday, the all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift headlined the event.

More than two dozen vehicle launches and about 100 unveilings began in Greater Noida on Wednesday, with a special focus on electric vehicles.

Tata's new hatchback, the second-gen Honda Amaze and a facelift of the Hyundai i20 have already been showcased on the first day of the press preview at the event that opens to the public on February 9.

1:20pm: The new Maruti Suzuki Swift features the Auto Gear Shift technology, LED projector headlamps and daytime running lights.

1:15pm: Maruti Suzuki is already accepting bookings for the new Swift. The car comes in four variants — LXI/LDI, VXI/VDI, ZXI/ZDI, and ZXI+/ZDI+.

12:34pm: Here is the complete price list of the new Maruti Suzuki Swift. Petrol: LXi-₹4.99 lakhs, VXi-₹5.87 lakhs, ZXi-₹6.49 lakhs, ZXi-₹7.29 lakhs; Diesel Manual: LDi-₹5.99 lakhs, VDi-₹6.87 lakhs, ZDi-₹7.49 lakhs, ZDi-₹8.29 lakhs; Diesel Automatic (AGS): VDi-₹7.34 lakhs, ZDi-₹7.96 lakhs.
