The German manufacturer has given its A7 Sportback a facelift while adding a range of new built-in technologies and stepping up performance, all without sacrificing comfort. The five-door coupe is expected to arrive in dealerships this summer.

Based on the original Audi A7 Sportback, launched in 2010, the new model has been updated with a new grille and front bumper as well as LED headlights, which are now a standard feature. The restyled version is also lighter thanks to the use of aluminum in its bodywork. In terms of space, the trunk has a capacity of 535 liters and can be expanded to 1,390 liters when the rear seats are folded down. Aluminum is also present in the coupe's interior, which is lined in high-end materials such as walnut inlay and Valcona leather.

For optimal comfort, the driver and passenger seats are available with ventilation or even with a massage function, both optional. A head-up display system is also available as an option. Among the multiple driver assistance systems in the new coup are Adaptive Cruise Control, Audi Side Assist and Audi Active Lane (both for use when changing lanes), night vision assistance, and the Audi Pre Sense safety technology, which reinforces passenger and driver restraints in situations where a collision is likely.

Under the hood, Audi offers a choice between two TFSI fuel engines and three TDI diesel ones, with power ranging from 218hp to 333hp. In its 218hp version, the 3-liter TDI V6 engine consumes just 4.7l/km on average and has CO2 emissions of around 122g/km. The new Audi S7 Sportback, the even sportier version of the coupe, boasts a 450hp powertrain.

To meet drivers' connectivity needs, the new model is equipped with the 4G/LTE-ready Audi Connect system. The A7 Sportback also has a Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound audio system.

The new Audi A7 Sportback will begin rolling into dealerships from this summer, priced starting at €51,300 in Germany. The Audi S7 Sportback will available starting at €82,300 in the manufacturer's home market.
