This week, the Quadrifoglio Verde, the brand's famous four-leaf clover which is part and parcel of the brand's history and a symbol of its sportsmanship, celebrates 90 years.

Just like Ferrari's famous horse which originally featured on the side of a plane during the Second World War, the Quadrifoglio featured on the weapons of the Italian air force at the time.

The Quadrifoglio Verde dates back to the 1923 Targa Florio and Ugo Sivocci's victory. From that point onwards, the Alfa Romeo team adopted this lucky symbol which accompanied Alfa Romeos during competitions.

It also features on models from the sports series in special Quadrifoglio series. Recently, the Quadrifoglio Verde was fixed onto the Alfa 8C Competizione and Spider as well as the Alfa Romeo MiTos and Giulietta.
