VW Chakan plant completes five years of production
In a major milestone for the company, VW's Chakan plant finished five years of operation on March 31, 2014.
Since inauguration, over 3.5 lakh cars have rolled out of the facility and it also serves as VW Group's headquarters in India. Inaugurated in 2009, this plant was built in 17 months, a record across all VW facilities across the country.
