Mercedes-Benz opens new R&D facility in Bangalore

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) has opened a new R&D facility in Whitefield, Bangalore. It is the luxury car maker's second facility and is located close to the head office of MBRDI. It is called the 'Embassy Crest' and has the capacity to utilize a workforce of over 2,400 employees. The MBRDI was founded in 1996 to support the parent company - Daimler's research, IT and product development, and is now one of the largest R&D centers of Daimler outside Germany.
