As part of the 2015 edition of CES, set to take place January 6-9 in Las Vegas, the Vehicle Intelligence Marketplace will highlight the latest developments in smart and connected technology in the automotive sector.
Over the past few years, researchers have achieved rapid progress in terms of autonomous driving, vehicle communication and active safety technologies. The Vehicle Intelligence Marketplace will aim to showcase the latest strides, including fully or partially self-driving cars and advances in collision avoidance systems (lane departure warnings, blind spot monitors, obstacle detection, etc.).
Organizers have already announced keynote addresses from Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche and Ford CEO Mark Fiels. While the head of the German company will discuss 'autonomous vehicle technology and its impact on society, mobility and the environment,' the American executive will offer 'insights on the future of mobility and the latest in-vehicle innovations.'
A total of 11 manufacturers are expected to exhibit at the Vehicle Intelligence Marketplace: Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Ford, GM, Hyundai, Mazda, Mercedes, Mini, Toyota and Volkswagen.
