The Indian subsidiary of Japanese automobile maker Nissan Motor Company Monday raised the prices of its three models - Micra, Sunny and Evalia.
Nissan Motor India in a statement here said the price hike applied to all the variants of the models and ranged between 1.5 percent to 2.5 percent.
The prices of hatchback Micra will go up by 1.5 percent, Sunny sedan by two percent and utility vehicle Evalia by 2.5 percent.
'The price rise, which we have held back for several months, is to offset rising input costs and also ease the impact of currency fluctuation,' said Nitish Tipnis, director, sales and marketing, Hover Automotive India (Nissan Motor India's national sales company).
