Japanese electric car maker GLM is partnering with electronic instrument maker Roland Corporation to develop what Roland calls 'a neo-futuristic driving sound generation system' for GLM's electric sports car.

Starting this fall, GLM's ZZ road car will use Roland's SuperNATURAL synthesize technology to power the car's sound generation system.

The technology will create a range of studio-quality musical sounds depending on real-time driving experiences -- the system will have the ability to change sounds based on acceleration, deceleration, or going uphill or downhill.

The company says the neo-futuristic electronic sounds available in the ZZ model will give drivers the feeling of 'driving a space ship on the road.'

The ZZ roadster is only available in limited quantities and is not sold in the US.
