Italian supercar maker Ferrari is making a comeback to India with new products and dealer partners as it looks to become a strong player in India's super luxury car market.

Ferrari had entered the country in 2011 but broke the ties with its India importer last year. Now the company has roped in Navnit Motors as its official dealer partner in Mumbai and Select Cars in Delhi.

On Wednesday, Ferrari launched the new California T hard-top convertible in India at 3.4 crore. "India has unfortunately not had the explosion in sales that high-end manufacturers were expecting 5-10 years ago. We are quite optimistic now," said Aurelien Sauvard, sales coordinator, Ferrari Middle East and Africa. Currently there are around 50 Ferraris on Indian roads and with the new partners Sauvard hopes it will be able to sell around 15-20 cars in 2015.

"We are getting good number of enquiries for Ferrari and have already delivered two cars last week," said Sharad Kachalia, director, Navnit Motors.
